George was a real artist's artist. In his painting classes, I felt like I was doing something big and important. In fact, we worked so large that we asked him what in the world we (college students) were going to do with these big canvases. And I'll never forget his response. He said, "If it's good enough, you'll find a place for it." I quote him often. It's true, isn't it?
